The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Queensland (“MSSQ”) is recognised for our commitment to safeguarding consumer privacy. We operate under a strict set of security measures to protect the privacy of your online activities.
Your personal information which may be provided by you from time to time is stored on our secure servers. MSSQ will only obtain user information that is supplied voluntarily by you. If MSSQ needs additional personal information to customise its services, or to tell you about new features or services, you will be explicitly asked for that information and told why it is needed.
In order to keep up to date with our products and services we will ask you to subscribe voluntarily to one of our email lists. If you would rather not be notified of these changes or developments, simply indicate this during registration (Select 'No Thanks' when asked 'Do you wish to receive nerve centre updates'). You can also unsubscribe at any time from our Site home page.
This website is intended to be a safe resource for children to find useful, age appropriate information. The MSSQ takes children’s privacy very seriously.
With regards to message boards and chat rooms, which are opt-in options on the site, children will be identified by a user name only. All correspondence on the message board is filtered by an authorised member of staff before posting, to ensure that personal details are not made public. All chat rooms are monitored for the entire duration of the advertised chat sessions to ensure appropriate discussion and useage.
